  • The European Pattern Committee announced on Tuesday that it has approved the upgrade of four Group 2 races to Group 1 status, including the City Of York Stakes run over seven furlongs at York’s Ebor Festival.
  • The first foals by dual Group 1 winner Mostahdaf (Ire) have been reported, including a colt out of Alaflaak (War Front), the dam of Shadwell’s ‘TDN Rising Star’ Falakeyah (GB) (New Bay {GB}).
  • Tamayuz (GB) filly Eponine (Ire), from the family of Tamayuz’s G1 Poule d’Essai des Pouliches heroine Precieuse (Ire), maintained her unbeaten record with a smooth victory at Pau on Tuesday.
