Oisin Murphy License Approved for Summer Cup
With just a few weeks to go to the richest race in Africa, the Betway Summer Cup, the Grade 1 race has attracted the best two horses in the country at the nomination stage.
The two best horses in the land, See It Again (131) and Main Defender (130) have both concluded preparations efforts for the big day with ruling favourite See It Again and Royal Victory running a mile event at Greyville with Main Defender coming a decent second in the Victory Moon Stakes Gr2 after a hefty weight difference with the winner, who isn’t in the Summer Cup nominations.

Via Sistina the big mover in World Rankings
Following a busy month of top-level racing, three horses from different parts of the globe have led to changes in the Top 10 in the ninth edition of the LONGINES World’s Best Racehorse Rankings for 2024.
VIA SISTINA (IRE) [127] is now the highest rated filly/mare in the world, the co-highest rated turf horse in the world, and the co-second highest rated horse in the world after dominating in Australia. She won both the TAB Turnbull Stakes (G1) and Ladbrokes Cox Plate (G1) in October before adding the TAB Champions Stakes (G1) to her list of accomplishments in November. Via Sistina’s other victories this year include the Ranvet Stakes (G1) and Winx Stakes (G1).
