Top price for a son of Showcasing
Already the vendor of the joint top-price on the first day, Haras du Mont dit Mont continued in the same vein, this time with a son of Showcasing ( lot 235). Very active since the beginning of the sale, Ross Doyle went to €170,000 for the colt, that hails from the family of Group 1 winners TERRITORIES, HELEN STREET, STREET CRY, VICTOR LUDORUM and SHAMARDAL.
“He’s a lovely colt and the one that we wanted today,” said Ross Doyle after signing the docket. “He walks very well and is very athletic and I think he has the physique to make a good two-year-old. He comes from a great family and a well-known stud. I’ve bought him for Stall Perlen and he’ll stay in France to be trained by Pia Brandt.”

Gérard Larrieu signs for a son of Hello Youmzain at €140,000
Consigned by Arcadia Élevage, a son of Hello Youmzain (lot 326) was subject to interest from a lot of buyers around the ring. It was the agent Gérard Larrieu (Chantilly Bloodstock), bidding beside Antonio Garcia Ferrer, that had the final say at €140,000 for the colt that hails from the family of Group 1 winners NATIONAL DEFENSE and ADAYAR.
“I’ve bought him for Antonio, who is beside me,” said Gérard Larrieu. “He’ll be trained in Spain like his half-brother X Rays, that has a lot of quality and is also owned by Antonio.”
