Royal Ascot Prospects Added To Goffs London Sale
|
|
More than ten horses with Royal Ascot entries (spread over four of the five days) feature among the catalogue for the Goffs London Sale which takes place in association with Privat 3 Money on Monday evening at Kensington Palace Gardens. Anybody wishing to purchase a runner must be registered as an owner prior to the sale in order to effect a change of ownership on the day. There are a number of three-year-olds that also appeal as high class international racing prospects, while five of the six two-year olds will be entered at the Royal Meeting. The final two-year-old is the Kingman daughter of the great race mare Laurens (who herself has a Dubawi filly foal at foot and has been covered by Frankel). Breeders will be interested in the shares on offer in leading sires Phoenix Of Spain (1/50th) and Galiway (1/70th), and there are also breeding rights to Havana Grey and Ardad. The catalogue is now available online and there is potential for a select number of additional entries to be added over the coming days. All lots are sold with a pre-sale vetting with the exception of Sparkling Plenty, a recent Group 2 winner and a leading contender for this weekend’s Group 1 Prix de Diane at Chantilly. Access to the sale is strictly by invitation only and any prospective purchasers should contact Goffs to register their interest. Agent’s commission of 5% will be offered once again and will be paid to the successful purchaser if they are a recognised bloodstock agent and/or licenced trainer.
