No recent start proved no problem for defending champion Colonel Liam  in the $1 million Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational Stakes Presented by Baccarat (G1T) Jan. 29 at Gulfstream Park.

Running for the first time since June, the 5-year-old Liam’s Map   horse became the first two-time winner of the Pegasus World Cup Turf when he caught his frontrunning stablemate Never Surprised  in the stretch. The latter held second over a late-rallying Space Traveller  in third.
