Made up of 143 horses-in-training, two-year-old stores and National Hunt-bred yearlings, the Autumn Sale catalogue is now online

An unmissable event for National Hunt world, the Autumn Sale will take place from November 15-17. Each year, on the flat as well as over jumps, graduates of the auction have gone on to win numerous Group/Graded races.

On the flat, SISFAHAN, bought as a yearling in 2019, won the Deutsches Derby (Gr.1) before finishing runner-up in the Grosser Preis von Baden (Gr.1). Over jumps, GAILLARD DU MESNIL added two Grade 1 wins to his name, while GREANETEEN took his first Grade 1 when taking the Celebration Chase at Sandown. In addition, EASY GAME, ROYALE PAGAILLE, PARADISO, HONEY SEXY and FANFARON SPECIAL also won at Group/Graded level this year.

The catalogue, made up of 184 horses-in-training44 two-year-old stores and 185 National Hunt-bred yearlings, is now available online at www.arqana.com. The horses-in-training section will be offered to buyers on Monday, November 15, and will be further added to in the coming weeks by the addition of five Wild Cards for flat performers and 15 National Hunt performers.

November Yearling Sale: Saturday, November 13

Once again this year, the flat bred yearlings will be offered a couple of days before the Autumn Sale, on Saturday, November 13 as the November Yearling Sale. This auction has a separate catalogue, that is also available online at www.arqana.com. Of the 224 lots offered are yearlings by established stallions such as Dabirsim, Galiway, Goken, Kendargent, Le Havre, Pedro The Great, Shalaa etc. as well as the first crop of Cloth of Stars, Dschingis Secret, Expert Eye, Seabhac and Seahenge.

Monday, November 15: horses-in-training

On the first day of the Autumn Sale, 184 Flat and National Hunt horses-in-training will open the auction, with several performers from some of the most well-known European owners. Of those that have already won black-type or that have already shown considerable talent:

KERGRIST (lot 348), third in the Prix de Condé (Gr.3) as a juvenile, the three-year-old gelding won his most recent start over 2,450m at Mont-de-Marsan for Bruno de Montzey;

DARZAN (lot 372), a three-year-old son of Le Havre with a current rating of 98, a winner of his first two starts before taking third in the Prix Michel Houyvet (L.) at Deauville for Mikel Delzangles;

ANGEL (lot 375), a winner of his second start over 1,800m at Clairefontaine, the three-year-old gelding is offered from Fabrice Chappet.
