Taking place just a few days before the prestigious Qatar Arabian World Cup, the 2021 Purebred Arabian Sale at Saint-Cloud ended with 70% of the 100 horses that went through the ring sold for an average of €28,471, generating a turnover of €1,993,000.

€230,000 for a half-brother to MISTER GINOUX and LADY PRINCESS 

Bidding skyrocketed across the ring for MANABB (lot 19), offered by The Channel Consignment. A son of NACREE AL MAURY, a Group PA winner herself, she has notably produced the excellent performers MISTER GINOUX and LADY PRINCESS. He was knocked down for €230,000. This blue-blooded colt is also from the family of NO RISK AL MAURY and NOUBA AL MAURY.

Haras de Gouffern’s Jean-Pierre de Gasté signed the docket, commenting, I’ve bought him for a Saudi client, Mohammed Al Huzami, that breeds in France and in Saudia Arabia. “For the moment we don’t know whether the colt is going to stay in France or go to Saudi Arabia. He’s a lovely looking colt with a fantastic pedigree that walks very well. There is everything to like about him.”

Wild Card MOSHRIF sold for €185,000 to Gérard Larrieu

Bidding beside Sheail bin Khalifa Al Kuwari, Gérard Larrieu (Chantilly Bloodstock) signed the docket at €180,000 for the Wild Card MOSHRIF (lot 85) from François Rohaut. A winner of his second start over 1,900m at La Teste on August 20, the three-year-old son of Dahess is a half-brother to the excellent MURAABIQ, a seven-time Group 1 PA winner, and BARNAJAM, victorious in the Al Maktoum Challenge R2 (Gr.1 PA) at Meydan. The colt is a runner in the Qatar Arabian Trophy des Poulains (Gr.1 PA) at Saint-Cloud tomorrow.  

Daughter of Al Mourtajez sold for €90,000 

Bidding on behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Thierry Delègue (Pegase Bloodstock) went up to €90,000 for a daughter of Al Mourtajez (lot 20). Offered from Haras de Saint Faust, the well-bred filly is from the close family of Group 1 PA winners NOREEN, NIRWAN, NIMR ASF, MKEEFA and CHADDAD.
