Buyers can expect two days of consistently high-class commercial yearlings at this year’s Goffs Sportsman’s Sale which takes place as planned in Ireland at Kildare Paddocks on Thursday 30 September and Friday 1 October, the concluding part of Irish National Yearling Sales week as it immediately follows the Orby Sale. The catalogue is now online.
410 yearlings are catalogued and all those offered will be eligible to enter the €100,000 Goffs Sportsman’s Challenge which will be held on 15 September 2022 over 6 furlongs at Naas Racecourse.
Ranked among the very top two-year-olds of the year in Europe, the Kevin Ryan trained Atomic Force graces this year’s Sportsman’s catalogue cover. Atomic Force was purchased for £22,000 at last year’s Sportsman’s Sale that was held in Doncaster.
Further evidence of the quality and value on offer at the Sportsman’s Sale are its Stakes winning graduates in Ireland, the UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Italy, US and Australia over the last twelve months, all purchased for an average price of just €22,850.

Commenting on the publication of the Sportsman’s catalogue, Goffs Group Chief Executive Henry Beeby said:
“We are looking forward to welcoming buyers back to Ireland and Kildare Paddocks for the Irish National Yearling Sales week and are delighted to present a Sportsman’s catalogue that is packed with the same high calibre commercial yearlings that are the hallmark of this sale.
Our inspection team have focused on the individual during the Sportsman’s Sale selection process and there are plenty of outstanding specimens catalogued. With the added incentive of the €100,000 Sportsman’s Challenge race next year, this sale is unmissable for buyers seeking quality and value especially when the IRE Incentive Scheme is taken into account”. |
