Love handed Aidan O’Brien a sixth success in the Qipco 1,000 Guineas with an authoritative success under Ryan Moore.
Always handily placed towards the centre of the track, Love hit top gear racing out of the Dip and was well on top at the line to give O’Brien his fourth win in the past five years in the fillies’ Classic.
Favourite Quadrilateral ran a respectful comeback in third having been keen early in the race, while Cloak Of Spirits produced a career best in second.
Behind Quadrilateral in last year’s Fillies’ Mile, Love emphatically turned the tables to set up a potential tilt at the Investec Oaks, with bookmakers quick to slash her price for the Epsom Classic next month.
Paddy Power go 11-8 (from 13-2) about the winner completing the Classic double, with Betway making Love 2-1 to follow up at Epsom.
Moore, completing a fourth win in the 1,000 Guineas, kept things simple on the daughter of Galileo and although she was without cover much of the contest, she settled well and put the race to bed with the minimum of fuss.
“She’s a very uncomplicated filly and we’ve always thought a lot of her,” said the rider. “She’s a typical Galileo filly and she was in control of the race from a long way out.
“I’d say it’s a possibility that she’d stay [1m4f at Epsom]. At the moment she looks the best three-year-old filly around. I don’t know what the plan is but I’d say the Oaks is an option for her.”
