A dream weekend of National Hunt Racing at the Dublin Racing Festival saw three fantastic Grade 1 wins for horses bought at Goffs courtesy of Faugheen, Honeysuckle and Notebook. The feature on Day 1 was the Grade 1 PCI Irish Champion Hurdle which was won in a thriller by Honeysuckle and Rachael Blackmore. It was a third Grade 1 victory for the Henry de Bromhead trained mare who remains unbeaten for owner Kenneth Alexander. Honeysuckle was purchased by Peter Molony of Rathmore Stud at the Goffs Punchestown Sale 2018. |

The first leg of a Grade 1 double on the day for Blackmore and De Bromhead opened with Notebook landing a brilliant renewal of the Grade 1 ERSG Arkle Novice Chase. Owned by Gigginstown House Stud, he is unbeaten over fences and now has two Grade 1s to his name and will be hard to beat in the Arkle at Cheltenham next month. Notebook was sold at the Goffs December National Hunt Sale by Corrin Stud to JD Leahy. |

Faugheen meanwhile brought the house down at Leopardstown on the second day of the Festival with his victory in the Grade 1 Flogas Novice Chase. The twelve year old former Champion Hurdler looked back to his best when recording his second Grade 1 success over fences for Willie Mullins, Susannah and Rich Ricci and Paul Townend. Faugheen was purchased at the Goffs Land Rover Sale from Castletown House by Meadowview Stables.
