Kodi Dream e Natural Storm non deludono
Si allunga e stacca facile sul traguardo gli avversari, uno splendido Kodi Dream che porta a casa il Premio Viola, prova principale del convegno al galoppo in scena oggi all’Ippodromo del Mediterraneo di Siracusa. Non delude le aspettative l’allievo di Antonino Cannella, montato dallo stesso, che in vantaggio già dall’ingresso della retta d’arrivo diventa imprendibile per Intense Light e Poet’s Star. I due giungono vicinissimi sul traguardo e separati da una foto vengono collocati rispettivamente al secondo e al terzo gradino del podio.
Il galoppo siracusano in programma nel pomeriggio odierno con 6 corse riserva un applauso anche a Natural Storm che para l’affondo deciso di Playful Dude e si aggiudica il Premio Rosa, handicap discendente per 3 anni ed oltre sui 1200 metri della pista grande, sotto clou del palinsesto. In sella Giuseppe Gentilesca che deve fare i conti con un ottimo rush finale di Antonino Cannella, ma alla fine riesce ad arginarlo al posto d’onore. Chiude terzo Eblouis Moi.
Kobal Kolor, da favorito netto, da un capo all’altro, risolve il Premio Margherita, abbinato all’ippica nazionale. Bravo in cabina di regia Giuseppe Emanuele che si difende dall’attacco insidiosissimo, nel tratto conclusivo, del rientrante Ace To Pesca. A completare il podio della corsa Vendere, riservata a cavalli di 3 anni ed oltre ingaggiati sui 1900 metri della pista sabbia, è Dollar Days.
Lunedì sul veloce anello siracusano i protagonisti del trotto scenderanno in sulky, invece. Il centrale è la quarta corsa che schiera i tre anni sul miglio. È il Premio USA dove si rivede Akela Palm Ferm che resta la più temuta del campo partenti. La migliore alternativa è Albaricoque. Bella forma per Argokam e attenzione alla novità su pista Aurea Wise L.
11 soggetti al via per la II Tris Nazionale abbinata alla quinta competizione, Premio Texas. Per la Categoria G, cavalli anziani impegnati sul miglio e qui non si può non citare Stevemcqueen Treb e Tabor Caf. Corsa aperta, poi.

GALILEO POWER BEHIND BOHERGUY DEBUT
By Amy Lynam Wednesday sees Clare Manning make her first foray into consigning at the Goffs Orby Sale, one she has come to know well through the commercial success of her grandfather Jim Bolger, as well as through her time working for Baroda Stud. Operating under the banner Boherguy Stud, Manning will offer the high calibre of pedigrees she has been surrounded with her whole life; two beautifully-bred fillies by Galileo (Ire) and Sea The Stars (Ire). Both were bought as foals by her grandfather and though Manning has no financial involvement in the bluebloods, she has been with them every step of the way. “I went through the catalogue with my Granda and we viewed them together at the sales,” she explains. “They’ve been with me ever since. They’re two gorgeous fillies and have been so easy to prep–they’ve taken everything in their stride.” Both bays are faultless, Manning reveals. “They both have unbelievable pages. The Galileo filly comes from a Juddmonte family and it’s rare to have the opportunity to get into a family of that calibre–she’s one-of-a-kind. The Sea The Stars filly is an absolute belter and so athletic; both of them are.” The first Boherguy yearling through the ring isthe daughter of Sea The Stars, bought by Bolger for i150,000 from Al Eile Stud. Bolger has enjoyed success with Al Eile’s Michael Ryan in the past, training the great Finsceal Beo (Ire) (Mr Greeley) to win three Group 1 contests in his striped silks…
