Another Group 1 From Goffs November Breeding Stock Sale
The reputation of Goffs November Sale as a top source of Group 1 producing mares received a further boost yesterday at Deauville when the Ken Condon trained Romanised landed the Group 1 Prix du Haras de Fresnay-le-Buffard Jacques le Marois for owner Robert Ng.

Last year’s Irish 2000 Guineas winner Romanised, a son of Holy Roman Emperor bred by Monica Aherne, is out of Romantic Venture who was sold at Goffs November Breeding Stock Sale in 2008 from the Moyglare Stud draft to Brendan Corbett.

Romantic Venture joins the likes of Chelsea Rose, dam of Kew Gardens, and Hazariya, dam of dual Derby winner Harzand, on a long list of mares bought at the November Breeding Stock Sale that have gone on to produce Classic and Group 1 winners.

Entries are now being taken for the 2019 November Breeding Stock Sale which has enjoyed recent top prices of €6m, €2.3m, €1.9m, €1.6m, €1m, €950,000 etc.
