Land Rover graduate Quick Grabim wins G1 Royal Bond Novice Hurdle

Goffs Land Rover Sale enjoyed more Grade 1 success at Fairyhouse yesterday as Quick Grabim put in a great front-running and jumping performance under Ruby Walsh to take the Grade 1 Royal Bond Novice Hurdle for owner Geraldine Worcester.

This was a third win this year for the Willie Mullins-trained Oscar gelding, his previous being a Grade 3 at Tipperary in October, and yesterday’s Royal Bond win has seen the six year old shortened to 14/1 for the Supreme Novices Hurdle at Cheltenham.

Quick Grabim was purchased at the Goffs Land Rover Sale 2015 by Denis Leahy for €30,000 and was consigned by Michael Moore’s Ballincurrig House Stud.  He caps an excellent start to the season for Land Rover graduates, with 76 individual winners in the past four weeks.

Orby Sale graduate Raging Bull lands G1 Hollywood Derby
Owner Peter Brant leads in Raging Bull and jockey Joel Rosario following their
G1 Hollywood Derby win.
Raging Bull, purchased as a yearling from the historic Wildenstein Dispersal at Goffs Orby in 2016, landed the Grade 1 Hollywood Derby at Del Mar on Saturday for owner Peter Brant.

Trained by Chad Brown, the three year old son of Dark Angel unleashed some serious acceleration after turning for home, getting up in the final strides to earn his first top level win.

This followed Grade 2 and 3 successes at Saratoga in August and September for Raging Bull who was bought by E Columbo Agency for €90,000 at the Orby Sale as part of the Wildenstein Stables Ltd Dispersal from The Castlebridge Consignment.  View pedigree here.
