Ippodromo Capannelle Roma Galoppo, Domenica 30 settembre

Villa Borghese è il più noto ed importante polmone di verde di Roma. E’ conosciuta in tutto il mondo ed al suo interno si trovano il museo Borghese, il Globe Theatre, Piazza di Siena che è la sede del celebrato concorso ippico e poi ancora la splendida terrazza del Pincio che ha a lato la casina progettata dal Valadier e ancora la casa del Cinema, il Giardino Zoologico e quello del Lago.
Capannelle da sempre ha dedicato a questo luogo meraviglioso una delle prove che sono cardine dell’autunno romano, il Villa Borghese appunto cui si unisce anche il ricordo di Francesco Cadoni che fu punto fermo del Jockey Club, l’Ente che sovraintendeva alle vicende del turf italiano.
Si passa per il Villa Borghese, listed sui 2200 metri per i tre anni e oltre (un tempo solo per i tre anni), in programma appunto questa domenica, per andare, a scelta, o verso il prossimo milanese Jockey Club sui 2400 oppure accorciando verso il Roma del quattro novembre che sarà anche il Champion Day ideato da Capannelle per offrire il meglio del suo autunno non solo al pubblico ma anche agli operatori, specie esteri, che avranno a disposizione oltre al Roma anche il Lydia Tesio, unico gruppo unico rimasto nel nostro paese, l’Aloisi, il Ribot Luciani, il Berardelli, il Divino Amore e non solo. Ecco perché la corsa che vivremo domenica pomeriggio riveste un ruolo importante nel percorso di selezione italiano. Tanto per fare qualche esempio il Villa Borghese fu vinto da Cleo Fan che poi fu secondo di Roma e primo di Repubblica. Dogma Noir dopo la vittoria fu terzo proprio nel Roma. Bacchelli invece andò per due volte a vincere il Roma Vecchia sulla lunga distanza. Lord Chaparral per due volte fu popi protagonista del milanese Jockey Club. Turati sfiorò il Roma, idem Once More Dubai. Timboroa vinse il Repubblica (è il Roma della primavera) per non dire di Rakti che passò da questa corsa prima di volare verso l’olimpo assoluto (Champion, Prince of Wales. Queen Elisabeth e Lockinge) .
 
Sulla base di queste indelebili premesse ecco la edizione 2018 del Premio Villa Borghese che vede in campo un gruppo di mezza dozzina di cavalli perfetti per una listed. C’è anche un ospite, l’ungherese Zasrkanyfu, ora di 5 anni ma a suo tempo terzo del locale derby. I nostro costituiranno la ossatura della corsa. Il tre anni Frutireu (laureato di Mei contro gli anziani, secondo di Henry Mouth nel San Giuseppe e fresco di rientro vincente) sfida i meno giovani, tutti ottimi e legati tra di loro da belle linee. Si tratta di Menuhin,(secondo di D’Alessio sul tracciato), di Perego( primo nel Signorino sempre a Roma) e di Pythyus vincitore di Arno ma con linee che lo legano agli altri compreso Empedocle che si è rivisto bene al seguito di Frutireu a metà settembre.
Il pomeriggio romano ricorda anche un altro personaggio che ha scritto molte delle vicende importanti del nostro mondo: Maria Pia Cetorelli che è stata importante funzionaria dell’Unire e nel suo ricordo si misureranno le femmine sui 1800 metri. L’aspetto tecnico, imprescindibile in un ippodromo come Roma, si manifesta attraverso due corse importanti riservate alle femmine e l’altra ai maschi di due anni sul miglio della pista grande ma rigorosamente esordienti. (12 le femmine e uno di meno i maschi).
In autunno questo tipo di corse sono fondamentali per scoprire talenti importanti.
Come è successo nelle edizioni precedenti con Undisclosed Desire, Wiesenbach, Domagnano, Basileus, Mister Sandro, Kill Kat, Sopran Montanelli.

Un motivo in più per andare alle corse e studiare al tondino i protagonisti delle due corse. Un’altra cicca per gli appassionati autentici, una corsa dedicata al campionissimo americano Seabicuit cui, come tutti sanno, è stato dedicato anche un film di grande successo.
Cinque volte in azione la pista grande, una quella dritta ed il resto sul dirt con distanze che andranno dai 1200 ai 2200, listed, condizionate, handicap a disposizione dei protagonisti del pomeriggio. Non manca nulla per garantire il divertimento come sempre alle Capannelle.

KOREA : Seoul Saturday: Race-By-Race Preview (September 29)

Seoul is back! There is a bumper 13-race card in the capital on Saturday with the 1st at 10:45 and the last at 18:00. Here are the previews:

Start

Race 1: Class 6 (1000M) Allowance / KRW 24 Million

A maiden to begin with that is perhaps best described as “weak”, even for this this level. Jockey Bang Choon-sik has had something of a renaissance recently and he can pick up from where he left off before the break by winning here on (6) BLESSING ROAD. The filly has seemingly started to figure things out in her latest two and has as much chance as any of making the breakthrough here. She’ll be off to a fast start along with (7) LEADER’S CAMP who weakened last start at 1300M but should be better back at the minimum today. (1) BEST LEVEL ha put in some encouraging performances over 1200M and is another who should have a say in things. (10) GREEN TEA and (11) LUCKY RACE others who can be considered.

Race 2: Class 6 (1000M) Allowance / KRW 24 Million

Another modest affair and (4) BEST HUNTER, 4th last time out at the distance and with a 3rd place to his name as well, may just about have enough to come home on top here. The five-year-old has only raced four times is never going to a star but is well drawn to lead here and can win. (12) SAEROUN CAPTAIN has raced creditably in two outings since returning from eight months off and while he must overcome the widest gate, looks a threat. (1) YONGUI JUDO and (6) GWANGPOK JUHAENG have hinted at ability and both should be in at least the placing frame while (3) BLACK GINGA is another with potential to improve.

Race 3: Class 6 (1300M) Allowance / KRW 24 Million

A third maiden but it looks slightly stronger than the previous two. (1) TAEWANG SINHWA enters with a 3rd and a 4th from his latest two starts, both at this distance and he’ll be among favourites to get the win here. From the inside gate he can sit just off the early lead and finish strongly. (2) RAON GANGHO actually beat Taewang Sinhwa when the two of them finished 3rd and 4th at the distance back in June. He’s followed that up with three solid if unspectacular efforts since and is one of the primary dangers. (10) WONDERFUL EVIL beaten five-lengths by a good winner at 1000M three weeks ago. He races at further than the minimum trip for the first time and can be a factor. (7) WHITE FLOWER and (8) RAON STELLA are others who should be in the hunt.

Race 4: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

Fillies only here. (5) LOVELY NUTE has a 3rd and a 2nd in two tries at this class since landing her maiden win in July. Last time out was her first try at this distance and while she was a beaten favourite, she can go one better today. (4) HEUNG OREUM was a good winner at this distance on August 19th on what was her third career start. She’s up in class today but can be a threat. She made all that day and will look to do the same here. (10) FLYING HERA was 2nd in that race, three-lengths back and comes up in class too While she obviously has a bit to find on the one that beat her, she should be competitive. (9) CLEAN FLOWER steps back up in trip after good recent work at 1000M including her maiden win in early July. (1) GREEN DARC was a surprisingly comfortable winner on debut on August 25th and while she’s up in both class and trip today, can be respected.

Race 5: Class 5 (1000M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(5) MIREU STORM got his maiden win on his second start on August 19th, leading all the way at this distance. He’s up in class today but is nicely drawn to get on pace early again and can repeat. (1) ROYAL PRINCE was scarcely involved over 1300M on his latest outing at the end of August but dropped back in trip today should be much more dangerous. Simon Foster’s tiny filly (4) SKY JUMP has held her own in two efforts at this class so far and with a good start today has claims too. (3) NAEGA KKEUTPANWANG and (10) LUCKY Read more of this post. IPPODROMO DEL MEDITERRANEO, SIRACUSA: PARTENTI DICHIARATI PER LE CORSE DEL : 29 – 09 – 18, INIZIO RIUNIONE ORE  15.55

Clockwinder e Kylach, di nuovo, in duello.

 

Si potrebbe rinnovare il match tra Clockwinder e Kylach Me If U Can. È questo lo  scenario che accompagna la condizionata sui 1500 metri di pista piccola, che impegna i 3 anni e oltre nella corsa centrale del convegno di galoppo di sabato 29, all’Ippodromo del Mediterraneo di Siracusa. Qualche qualitativo rientro, come quello di Comet Grey e Siciliano Bello potrebbe rimescolare le carte. Nella stessa competizione atteso il riscatto di  Duc del Rose,  e un Esploir Bere, già al debutto capace di grande prodezza, che potrebbe dimostrare di saper competere con le grandi linee. Altro montepremi interessante è abbinato alla seconda delle sei corse in programma dalle ore 15:55. Sul discendente, che impegni cavalli di tre anni e  oltre sui 2100 metri di pista piccola, potrebbe ripresentarsi la linea tracciata in ultimo HP del 30 giugno, quando Kingston Sassafras e  Andy Garcia siglano il resto del podio. Sono minacciati dallo strepitoso momento di forma, però, che attraversa Anthericum. In questo contesto non possiamo non citare i cavalli con grandi potenzialità: Cuore Del Graco, Little But Good e Alegro. La corsa col maggior numero di incognite è la quarta, una reclamare sul miglio in pista grande riservata agli imprevedibili 2 anni. Il più rodato, regolare ed duttile sembra Principe Azzurro; leghiamo ad un possibile arrivo anche il nome di Fox on the Run,  Ribero Doc e il chiacchierato Thorin.
