Qewy (Street Cry) made it three Group wins from four starts in Australia when he resumed with a hard-fought victory in yesterday’s Bendigo Cup (Gr 3, 2400m).

Ridden by Kerrin McEvoy, who also rode the gelding to wins in last year’s Geelong Cup (Gr 3, 2400m) and Sandown Cup (Listed, 3200m), Qewy ($2.50) held off the late challenge of the Darren Weir trained four-year-old Kiwia (Reset) ($2.40 favourite) by a half neck.
