GIOVEDÌ 6 OTTOBRE 2016. Weekend: A Newmarket comincia il Future Champions Festival con Fillies e Dewhurst. Domenica il Dormello a San Siro..

 
 
 
Sarà un weekend interamente dedicato ai puledri, quello che ci aspetta. Capannelle osserverà uno stop causa concomitanza con il Derby del trotto, ma tra Milano e Newmarket ne avremo di cose da vedere. Partiamo da Newmarket dove sono stati dichiarati i partenti del Fillies Mile G1 che suonano un pò come antipasto delle 1000 Ghinee. Si corre infatti sul miglio del Rowley Mile e le protagoniste sono le femmine di 2 anni.
 
La favorita, anche per quanto visto nel Boussac G1 di Chantilly, è una Godolphin che viene dalle maiden. Si chiama Sobetsu, è ancora una figlia diDubawi (ma baia), è allenata da Charlie Appleby, ed ha vinto la sua maiden per 10 lunghezze da favorita dopo un debutto buono alle spalle di Spatial (New Approach) la quale al debutto a sua volta aveva battuto quella Wuheida(Dubawi) che poi ha vinto il G1 per femmine in Francia. Tutto torna, dunque. Attese anche le 2 di O’Brien quali Rhododendron (Galileo) e Hydrangea (Galileo), queste due molto vicine nei riferimenti e piazzate nelle Moyglare Stud Stakes G1 di inizio Settembre al Curragh. La seconda in particolare quando prende margine è dura da andare a riprendere. Ma è una corsa che può svelare sorprese. IL CAMPO UFFICIALE DEI PARTENTI QUI.
 
In apertura di pomeriggio del venerdì ci sono anche le Cornwallis G3 per i 2 anni sui 1000 metri, le Oh So Sharp G3 ancora per le 2 anni ma sui 7f, e poi le Challenge Stakes G2 dove si rivede in pista Jallota (Rock Of Gibraltar), piazzato del nostro Di Capua G1 per il quale chiediamo conferme. I CAMPI PARTENTI DI VENERDI QUI.
Non ancora ufficialissimo invece il campo partenti delle Dewhurst Stakes G1 di sabato pomeriggio sui 7f del Rowley Mile a Newmarket, per celebrare il campione di 2 anni della stagione inglese. Le Dewhurst ogni anno genera un cavallo che poi farà lo stallone, ed è un momento molto atteso in Inghilterra. Comunque è questione di minuti ed il campo completo sarà disponibile, intanto anticipiamo che il grande atteso sarà Churchill (Galileo), favorito in antepost delle 2000 Ghinee e del Derby, che probabilmente sarà al via anche di una corsa che padre Aidan ha vinto recentemente conBeethoven, War Command ed Air Force Blue. Churchill ha certamente un altro spessore. Le altre conferme arrivano da Willy Haggas per il “caro” Rivet(Fastnet Rock) con Andrea Atzeni, vincitore delle Champagne G2 a Donny il 10 Settembre, poi l’intrigantissimo Seven Heavens (Frankel), con Dettori a bordo, imbattuto in 2 uscite impressionando per Juddmonte e molto somigliante a suo padre, mentre Willy Haggas ha annunciato al via South Seas(Lope De Vega), imbattuto in 3 uscite. Godolphin ne avrà almeno 2 tra cui Thunder Snow (Helmet), secondo di Rivet a Doncaster per Saeed bin Suroor, mentre Charlie Appleby avrà al via Blue Point (Shamardal), secondo nelle Richmond e nelle Middle Park, vincitore delle Gimcrack a York. In programma sabato anche le Autumn Stakes G3 per i 2 anni sui 1600 metri, ed il Cesarewitch Handicap con favorito al momento St Michel (Sea The Stars) per Sir Michael Stoute. I CAMPI PARTENTI DI SABATO A NEWMARKET CLICCANDO QUI.
 
In Italia domenica non si corre a Roma, come anticipato, ma a Milano va in scena la più selettiva corsa italiana per femmine di 2 anni nel Premio Dormello G3. Al momento sono 9 le rimaste, di cui 2 tedesche (cliccando sul nome è possibile vedere la scheda) e venerdì ci sarà la dichiarazione ufficiale dei partenti. Le rimaste sono Apeiron, Candy Store, Dalila (per Peter Schiergen), Deda Queen, L’Intrigante, Mi Raccomando, Miss Key,Rainbow Royal (per Andreas Wohler, vincitrice di Eupili), Stamp Collecting.
