Simple Verse (pictured) and Rich Legacy made it a Group 2 double on the day at Doncaster yesterday for graduates of the Goffs Orby Sale, as well as for Qatar Racing and trainer Ralph Beckett. Today, the success continued with Goffs graduates featuring as the first 3 home in the Group 2 Flying Childers Stakes. Rich Legacy was the first to star yesterday when winning the Group 2 May Hill Stakes. A 2 year old by Holy Roman Emperor, Rich Legacy was offered at the Orby Sale and at the November Foal Sale by Ballylinch Stud, where he was purchased by Meridian International for €28,000.

A short while later multiple Group 1 winning Orby graduate Simple Verse returned to the winners enclosure after a gritty performance in a very competitive Group 2 Park Hill Stakes. Simple Verse, winner of the St Leger last year, was bred and offered at the Orby sale by Barronstown Stud and purchased by David Redvers on behalf of Qatar Racing for €240,000. Goffs UK Breeze Up graduates have been excelling on the track recently and the Group 2 Flying Childers produced another top class winner from this sale.

Ardad, a 2 year old colt by Kodiac, is now a three time winner and dual Stakes winner for trainer John Gosden and owner Abdullah Saeed Al Naboodah. Ardad was purchased by Blandford Bloodstock from Tally Ho Stud for €170,000. There was a dead heat for second place in this competitive renewal of the Flying Childers and both horses are Goffs graduates, with Premier and November Foal graduate Legendary Lunch, already a Listed winner, and Group 3 winning Orby graduate The Last Lion crossing the line together.

The Goffs Orby Sale takes place on Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 September and is followed by the yearling and horse-in-training sections of The Wildenstein Stables Dispersal.
