Doncaster: rain is forecast before Racing Post Trophy card

Dry night at Doncaster though rain still forecast
NO RAIN overnight at Doncaster has left the ground unchanged at good to soft on Racing Post Trophy day, but that could alter by the start of the meeting.
John Gosden, trainer of Trophy favourite Foundation, had warned that if the ground at Town Moor became too soft he may not risk the unbeaten colt in the Group 1.
The lack of rain on Friday night will raise hopes Foundation will run, while connections of second-favourite Deauville also wanted conditions to stay dry.
Clerk’s view
Roderick Duncan, clerk of the course said on Saturday morning: “The forecast has changed quite a bit and the rain is not forecast to come in until ten o’clock.
“It looks like it will have gone through by one o’clock, with between three and six millimetres of rain forecast.”
