Quality Catalogue Now Online For The February Market Leader

The catalogue for Goffs February Sale 2024 is now available online and features 431 quality Lots across the two-day sale which will be held on Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 February, commencing at 10am each day.

Flat and National Hunt horses of all ages are catalogued, beginning with two-year-olds, horses-in-training and stores followed by a weanling section that is packed with potential across both days.  The sale will finish with an exciting selection of breeding stock that includes fillies and mares from many of the industry’s leading breeding operations.

A proven source of pinhooking success at the yearling sales each Autumn, the sire profile of this year’s February weanlings should hold huge appeal for buyers seeking to resell as it includes Blue Point, Churchill, Dark Angel, Earthlight, Galiway, Ghaiyyath, Havana Grey and No Nay Never amongst others.  Buyers of young jumping stock are equally spoiled for choice with weanlings on offer by Blue Bresil, Crystal Ocean, Masked Marvel, Maxios, No Risk At All, Saint Des Saints, Santiago and Walk In The Park.

Highlights among the breeding stock include the dual winner and Listed placed Australia mare White Caviar (Lot 360) who is a sister to Champion three-year-old Galileo Chrome; the Listed placed and four time winning Pretty Rebel (Lot 384); and La Petite Sissi (Lot 385), a half-sister to Group 1 Pretty Polly Stakes winner La Petite Coco.

National Hunt breeding stock sales are going from strength to strength at Goffs and, following a remarkable December National Hunt Sale, there are more quality prospects in store for National Hunt breeders in February headed by several black type performers.  These include Mi Lighthouse (Lot 377) who is a three-time winner and was Grade 3 placed over hurdles for Willie Mullins; Choice Of Words (Lot 366) who is Grade 3 bumper placed as well as a winner over hurdles and fences; and the multiple Black Type performer and Grade 3 chase winner Waitnsee (Lot 392).

Commenting on publication of the February catalogue, Goffs Group Chief Executive Henry Beeby said:

“Following a phenomenal 2023 at Goffs – a year full of highlights which began with the February Sale reaffirming its market-leading status – we are delighted to present a catalogue of real quality and diversity under both codes for our first sale of the New Year.

Goffs February is always very popular with breeders, pinhookers and end-users alike, and the Goffs team together with our friends at Irish Thoroughbred Marketing look forward to welcoming buyers from home and abroad to Kildare Paddocks to what we hope will be a strong start to our 2024 sales year”.

The printed edition will be mailed out next week.
