Goffs graduate La Pelosa wins the Grade 1 Natalma Stakes at Woodbine

La Pelosa – Group placed at Royal Ascot, now an international Grade 1 winner

Goffs graduate La Pelosa was the impressive winner of the Grade 1 Natalma Stakes at Woodbine yesterday for Godolphin and Charlie Appleby, capping a superb day for connections that also saw victory for the unbeaten Dubawi colt Quorto in the Group 1 Goffs Vincent O’Brien Stakes at the Curragh.   La Pelosa, a two year old daughter of Dandy Man, is a graduate of the Goffs November Foal Sale, where she was sold by Ridge Manor Stud to Tally Ho Stud for €52,000 before being re-offered by Tally Ho at the Orby.  She was previously Group 3 placed in the Sweet Solera Stakes and in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot, and following her Woodbine win has gained entry to the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Fillies at Churchill Downs in November.  Goffs graduates have enjoyed great success in the Grade 1 Natalma Stakes in recent years as this was the second consecutive win for a Goffs purchase, with Orby Sale graduate Capla Temptress victorious in 2017.

Effevi, N2 Call Me Love figlia di Sea The Stars. Luca Maniezzi sarà invece in sella alla N3 Commander Girl (War Commander) trained Sergio e Diego Dettori. Il trainer Vitabile ne schiera due: la N1 Brienne Di Tarth (Gladiatorus) e la N9 Twinkle Dew (Monsieur Bond). La Sc. Fert, giubba storica milanese del Sig. Ferrario, presenta la N4 Parnassus Girl (Epaulette). Le altre quattro sono: la N5 Princess Bunny (No Nay Never) che potrebbe essere una sorpresa; la N6 Segreto di Anna (Sakhee’s Secret); la N7 Sopran Altea (Duel) ed una figlia di Casamento, trained Peraino, la N8 Tempesta Rosa.
