Risultati Ippodromo del Mediterraneo, Siracusa: Special Rush star della “Festa della Liberazione”

Si allunga, saluta gli avversari e porta a casa proprio una “corsa speciale”. Artefice di tutto è Special Rush. Diretto da Marco Monteriso, in totale controllo, si assicura il Premio Tourcort, prova di maggiore dotazione del convegno di galoppo, con cui si è festeggiato il 25 Aprile all’Ippodromo del Mediterraneo. Si presenta leader, tra i 3 anni e oltre impegnati, dall’ingresso in dirittura. Ai trecento finali viene attaccato da Playfule Dude e dal compagno di allenamento Sopran Cosmic, ma Special Rush dice no. Accelera e lascia i due avversari battersi per le restanti piazze. Nello stesso ordine di citazione vanno a completare la terna di una bella condizionata, che si è sviluppata sui 1900 metri della pista sabbia. Plauso al trainer Marcello Restuccia, soddisfatto per il successo di Special Rush, ma soprattutto per aver riportato su un prestigio podio Sopran Cosmic, reduce da deludente prestazione. Ad anticipare la prova clou, che ha chiuso il pomeriggio siracusano al galoppo, un handicap discendente molto aperto alla vigilia. Ebbene, Comet Grey tira fuori l’orgoglio e tutti i suoi migliori motivi, e torna a far spiccare quel grigio mantello nel Premio Orsa Maggiore, che ha impegnato ancora i 3 anni e oltre sui 1400 metri della pista piccola. A impegnare il “Verglas” schierato da Maria Murgo, ci prova Eblois Moi. Vanificato il tentativo di quest’ultimo, che deve accontentarsi della migliore piazza. Per la terza moneta giunge Rockaroundtheclock. Festeggia con un doppio sul podio il team capitanato da Andrea Baiardo. Winning Hunter beffa il compagno di scuderia Hot Sun: i due ipotecano le migliori piazze del Premio Mir Lussac.

He shed maiden status over the same trip at Sandown in his only other juvenile start Sept. 15 and lined up for this black-type bow coming off a snug defeat of the dual stakes-placed Tigre du Terre (Fr) (Le Havre {Ire}) in a 10-panel all-weather heat at Kempton last time Mar. 31. Sent to the fore after the initial exchanges, the crowd’s second choice made a smooth transition through Tattenham Corner and kept on relentlessly under ever-increasing persuasion inside the final quarter mile to hold the late surge of My Lord And Master (Ire) (Mastercraftsman {Ire}) for a career high. He follows in the hoofprints of Christophermarlowe (Tapit), So Mi Dar (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) and Cracksman (GB) (Frankel {GB}) to provide the John Gosden-Frankie Dettori axis with a fourth straight score in a contest elevated to listed level this year.
