John Gosden’s colt was put away for the Classic after winning the Group 3 Bahrain Trophy at Newmarket in July but will not make the race.
Gosden, who has won the Leger four times previously, said: “Unfortunately, Mr Singh has returned a dirty scope and I won’t be able to work him in the morning. If I can’t work him tomorrow there is no point going for the St Leger.”
His absence reduces the maximum field size to 11, six of them trained by Aidan O’Brien, while Storm The Stars heads the three remaining British entries.
